This project guides you in constructing a detailed, visual map of your local government's structure, from elected officials down to key departments and their functions. The tangible outcome is a clear, comprehensive organizational chart or infographic that illustrates the chain of command, inter-departmental relationships, and major responsibilities within your municipality or county. This map demonstrates a critical understanding of local civic infrastructure, revealing how decisions are made, services are delivered, and accountability flows. For anyone who feels disconnected from their local governance, or who wishes to understand the practical mechanics of their community's operations, this project provides a foundational bridge.
It's ideally suited for individuals who possess a meticulous temperament, a strong drive for clarity, and a cognitive style that thrives on deconstructing complex systems into understandable components.
