This project involves designing and constructing a robust, multi-bay composting station for a community garden. The tangible outcome is a fully functional, clearly labeled, and aesthetically integrated composting infrastructure that processes organic waste into nutrient-rich soil amendments. This station will serve as a central hub for gardeners to deposit appropriate organic materials and retrieve finished compost, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable resource management and soil health within the community. When complete, it signifies tangible progress in closed-loop gardening practices, reduces waste sent to landfills, and provides a visible example of collective environmental action. This integrated system of bins, informational signage, and accessible design will stand as a model for practical, community-driven sustainability.
This project is geared towards individuals who thrive on practical challenges, enjoy hands-on construction, and are motivated by creating lasting, beneficial infrastructure for shared use.
